
Randall Drain
Managing Partner
Randall Drain is the Managing Partner and Founder of ReedsBay, where he developed and oversees the firm’s investment process. He also leads capital formation efforts across all manifestations of the firm’s investment strategies. Launching ReedsBay represents a milestone in an intergenerational journey fueled by Randall’s curiosity, candor, persistence, and growth mindset. In pursuit of excellence and catalytic impact, Randall draws upon a foundation of diligence, process orientation, competitiveness, and a commitment to stewardship.
Prior to founding ReedsBay, Randall was a member of the acquisitions team at Madison International Realty, a New York-based real estate private equity firm managing over $3.5 billion in assets. There, he led underwriting and select capital-raising initiatives for more than $700 million of transactions throughout the United States and Europe. Randall began his post-MBA career at Deutsche Bank in the Real Estate Investment Banking Group, where he structured and executed financing solutions for real estate and hospitality clients. He previously served on the asset management team at PNC Realty Investors, managing $2.4 billion in commercial real estate investments on behalf of the AFL-CIO.
Randall earned an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, concentrating in Real Estate and Corporate Finance, and holds a BA in Public Policy Studies from Duke University, where he was a Robertson Scholar and varsity athlete.
